Is there a compact synthesizer...?

I'm looking for something like the kaossilator that could also be controlled by an external midi keyboard. In other words: a compact, portable synth with midi-in. Anyone know where I should look for something like that?

BTW: I have a cheap yamaha keyboard, and I want something like a synthesizer that has midi in so i can plug it into my keyboard and give it better sounds.

that were basically a synth in a box, that used an external keyboard to trigger it
